Westmoreland County Queens Council
Meeting of July 17,2008
There were 33 in attendance at The Boulevard Restaurant in Greensburg.
Beverly Phillips gave the invocation and Rosalie Blehar opened the meeting with
The Red Hat Pledge and song.
Nancy Metzger And Catherine Krovak were the hostesses.
All the Queens in attendance stood and introduced themselves .
Margie Staigvil read a thank you letter from the Westmoreland County Food Bank. They thanked us for the donation of the $350. profit made from the Chinese auction.
Nancy gave a listing of upcoming events:
Sept 4- Red Ridge Rovers have a trip to see Wicked. Call Cassie 724-327-2660
Sept 5-Red Hat Mini Convention in Mayfield, Oh $45.
Sept 6-Parade in Delmont contact the borough for details
Sept 28-AK Valley Mini Convention-contact Sara 724-226-0919
October 2-“HATS”the musical in Sandusky ,OH possible bus trip if interested contact Nancy Metzger @

October 5-Women's Expo 12-5 Raddison Greentree Celebration of Women, empowerment, education, fun, relaxation & more

November 22-Greensburg holiday parade-contact the city to register your group.
December 14-Westmoreland County Queens Council Christmas Party @ Lakeview –$25. Details on flyer to follow.
For the Christmas party the executive committee will handle the entertainment.
Ruth Paul will chair the Grab Bag Committee.
Diane Flanders will chair the 50/50 raffle.
Beverly Phillips will chair the raffle.
Elves will be Patti Mikosky & Margie Staigvil.
Margie Staigvil discussed the Queen to Queen website and the birthday buddy program.
Our Queens shared events that their groups have enjoyed such as Sand Hill Berries Farm and the opera house at Rockwood.
Our next meeting will be in February hosted by Patti Mikosky-details will be sent as we get closer.
Our 50/50 winner was Barb Fredrick who won $57.50.
